Our discounts and offers

You get a discount when you insure more than one animal with Lassie. The multi-pet discount applies to all of Lassie's insurance policies, except the breeder's insurance. Your discount is automatically deducted from the insurance price and applies for as long as you continue to insure the same number of animals. If the number of insured animals decreases, resulting in a reduction of the multi-pet discount, the reduced discount will apply from the next payment onward. If you have already paid the annual price and your multi-pet discount increases during the first six months of the insurance period, you will receive a refund. If the discount is activated later, the amount will instead be deducted from next year's insurance price. When the multi-pet discount is combined with other discounts, they are deducted in steps, one at a time.

The size of the discount depends on the number of insured animals. Two animals give a 10% discount, three animals give a 15% discount, and if you have four or more animals, you get a 20% discount.

If you purchased your insurance before 2026-04-09, your old multi-pet discount will continue to apply until one of your insurance policies is terminated or renewed. At that point, your new discount will be calculated as described above.

You can collect points in the app and redeem them for a discount on your insurance. Each year, you can get a maximum of 250 kr discount per cat (requires 10,000 cat points) and 500 kr discount per dog (requires 15,000 dog points). The discount applies to the current insurance year. Collected, unused points are carried over to the following year. The points discount can be combined with other discounts, in which case it is deducted after any other discounts.

You earn points by completing various tasks in the Lassie app. For example, you get 10 points for answering the daily question correctly, and usually 100–450 points for completing a course. Each course takes about 2–10 minutes to complete.

Points you collect for a cat, or for a dog, are earmarked for a discount on cat insurance, or dog insurance, respectively. If you insure several dogs and redeem your dog points, all the dogs get the discount. The same applies to cats.

The discount is deducted from your next monthly invoice (and subsequent invoices if the discount exceeds the monthly amount). If you pay annually and activate the discount during the first six months of the insurance period, you will receive a refund within a few days. If you activate the discount later, the amount will be deducted from next year's insurance price.

If your kitten or puppy is up to six months old on the insurance start date, you automatically get a 50% discount on the insurance price during the first six months of your 365-day insurance period. The discount applies to all of Lassie's insurance policies, except the breeder's insurance. This discount cannot be combined with discount codes, but it can be combined with other discounts. In that case, they are deducted in steps, one at a time.

Unless otherwise stated, temporary discounts and discount codes apply during the first year when you take out a new insurance policy. The discount may be limited to a shorter period than the insurance's commitment period (365 days). For monthly payments, the discount is deducted from your first invoices. When purchasing insurance, discount codes can be combined with the multi-pet discount and the points discount. You may also later be eligible for a breeder discount as a seller, and a friend discount when you refer friends.

The breeders' insurance comes with a personal discount code intended to be shared with puppy or kitten buyers. If the buyers choose to use the code when insuring their new four-legged friend with Lassie, they get a 200 kr discount on their insurance, and the breeder gets a 500 kr discount on their insurance. The discount applies to the current insurance year and is activated when the buyer makes their first payment.

The buyer's discount is spread across the year's payments. A buyer cannot use the breeder discount and the buddy discount at the same time. The buyer also cannot combine their breeder discount with discount codes.

For as long as the breeder has not paid the full annual price for their insurance policies for the animal in question, the discount will be deducted from upcoming payments. Once all of the animal's insurance policies are paid, any surplus amount will be paid out in the form of a breeder bonus. The seller cannot receive both a buddy discount and a breeder discount for the same kitten/puppy. The breeder must not give the impression of selling or brokering insurance.

When your friends choose Lassie thanks to you, you can both get a discount. You'll find your personal discount code in the Lassie app. Share the code personally with friends, acquaintances, and family – it's not intended for public distribution.

If your friends use your code when they get Lassie, you both get a 200 kr discount on your insurance policies for the current insurance year. For your friend, the discount is spread across the year's payments. Your discount is activated when your friend makes their first payment and is deducted from whichever of your insurance policies has the highest price. For monthly payments, the discount is deducted from your next payment. If you pay annually and the discount is activated during the first six months of the insurance period, you will receive a refund. If the discount is activated later, the amount will be deducted from next year's insurance price. If you refer enough friends to reduce your annual price to 0 kr, the remaining discount is saved for the following year.

The buddy discount and the breeders' discount cannot be combined in one and the same purchase. A buyer cannot combine the buddy discount with discount codes.
