Pet Insurance reinvented

The sum that we at Lassie can reimburse you with per year for veterinary care is our veterinary care amount. The veterinary care amount applies per insurance year and when your pet insurance is renewed, your amount is also restored. Our Bronze, Silver and Gold insurance packages have three different maximum limits:

• Bronze: 30 000 SEK

• Silver: 60 000 - 120 000 SEK

• Gold: 160 000 SEK

If you have more than one animal, you can always add an animal to your current pet insurance in our app and on the website.

If you already have another dog or cat insured with us and buy a new pet insurance on the web, you need to connect with BankID again in the Lassie app for the insurance to appear there if you used different emails.

You can buy Lassie pet insurance for your puppy or kitten from the age of six weeks.

You can buy pet insurance from Lassie without a veterinary certificate. The waiting period is then 14 days for illness, but for accidents the pet insurance applies immediately. Remember that you can only buy pet insurance when the dog or cat is in Sweden.

Since it is an imported dog or cat, we would like to draw your attention to this:

• The pet insurance does not apply to disease caused by parasites and/or disease caused by infection that the dog or cat brought with it when it was brought to Sweden. The pet insurance also does not apply to damage and/or problems that the dog or cat brought with it when it was taken to Sweden.

The first payment is made when the insurance starts. If you have chosen annual payment, the full payment will be deducted at that time. If you have chosen monthly payment, subsequent payments will be made on the 28th of each month.

Upon renewal: Annual payment is deducted at the beginning of the new insurance year. With monthly payment, the payment is continued to deduct money on the 28th as usual.

The exact day the money leaves your account may vary slightly depending on the chosen payment method.

No, the insurance does not cover loss of income.

You do not have to choose the same pet insurance as your breeder, so you can choose Lassie regardless of the breeder's insurance. If you insure your puppy or kitten before it is 120 days old (approx. 17 weeks), the pet insurance applies immediately (without a waiting period). However, it is required that there is a Swedish veterinary certificate that is unremarkable. The certificate also needs to be issued within ten days of the animal insurance starting.

You can insure your puppy or kitten from the age of six weeks with Lassie.

Konsumenternas is an independent organization that reviews and compares insurance policies to provide you, as a consumer, with reliable guidance. Their ratings are based on in-depth analyses of the insurance terms and customer satisfaction, ensuring that you can trust your choice of insurance.

The board of Konsumenternas försäkringsbyrå includes representatives from the Swedish Consumer Agency, the Financial Supervisory Authority, and consumer organizations, ensuring that their ratings always reflect the best interests of consumers.

No, you can also take out Lassie surgery and health insurance without ordering a Tractive tracker and subscription. Of course, you can also take out a subscription to Tractive without being a Lassie customer. This is just a great offer to you as part of our partnership with Tractive, because sufficient exercise and activity for your dog or cat has been proven to prevent many health problems.

• You must have or are taking out active Lassie surgery or health insurance for your dog or cat (not valid if you have only taken out liability insurance with Lassie).

• You must take out a minimum 1-year Tractive subscription, which starts at €5/month.

• If your Tractive subscription ends, you must return the tracker device to the following address, as it will only be provided at a reduced price of €0 as part of an active Tractive subscription:

Go through the process in the Lassie app to order the Tractive tracker once for each animal - first select the insurance of the animal for which you would like to order a Tractive tracker in the Lassie app.
